What is Nickel Alloy Flanges

Nickel alloy is high nickel containing metal where propertion of nickel varies from 60% of the total wieght and goes up to 80-85 percentage. Flanges made out of these metals are being known as nickel alloy Flanges. There are several grades in Nickel alloys.

Why Nickel Alloy Flanges

As mentioned abow the chractristic of nickel alloy metal that is high nickel content and copper in some specific metals it makes these metal to sustain at very high temprature and anti corrosive also. Being high temprature sustainability nature of these metal flanges it is being used in various industries like Cement Industries, Fertilisers, Chemical and Cheavy Chemicals, Oil and refineries etc.

Manufacturing process of Nickel Alloy Forged Flanges

Since these is special alloy and billets are or may not be avaialable all times we either cut the required weight piece from either billets or round bars and first forge it into required size and shape. Here size is fine but for shape we have to go for close die forging only because it not only gives accuracy of forging but also some times hollow forings saves reduction or scrap cost and as we know that the all nickel alloy metals are costly as well. After forging and quality check machinig to these flanges is being done. While making machining we have to be very careful about the holes to be made on these flanges, if the dimension is not proper site engineer may find it difficult to fit the nickel alloy bolts or stud bolts on it.
